All Amenities

MTC owns many amenities that are located in City of Calgary Parks and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of these amenities.If this was not done, the City of Calgary would remove the amenities and replace the areas with grass.

Prestwick Common

15113 Prestwick Blvd. This hugely popular park features a decorative fountain/fire-pit, arbors, stone and wrought iron fencing, a pump house and light standards. It operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. year-round

Promenade Park

90 Promenade Way. This park which features a picnic shelter, entrance feature with flags, flower planters, ornamental wrought iron fence, games table, horseshoe pit, and shuffleboard game.

Drawbridge Park

Elgin Rise & Elgin Ave. Draw Bridge Park has a rundlestone entrance with thick black chains making it look like a draw bridge to a castle.

Prestwick Square

Prestwick Green. Prestwick Square entrance feature.

Butterfly Park

Prestwick Dr. & Prestwick Cir. Butterfly Park has a decorative bolder with butterflies on it, metal butterfly sculptures and shrub beds featuring specific shrubs and flowers to attract butterflies.

Elgin Hill

160 McKenzie Towne Dr. This limestone arch is over 100 years old and came out of a building being demolished in downtown Calgary. This structure was placed on top of Elgin Hill which gives amazing views of the mountains. You can often see kids looking for fossils in the stone! The hill also doubles as a toboggan hill in in the winter.

Traffic Circle

McKenzie Towne Blvd. The three flag poles, bollards and central flower feature are maintained by MTRA.

Hockey rink/Skate park

McKenzie Towne Gate & McKenzie Towne Link. The only skateboard park in SE Calgary is located in McKenzie Towne and at the same site is an asphalt basketball court and outdoor hockey rink.

Inukshuk Park

Prestwick Dr. & Prestwick Cir. Inukshuk Park features 4 solid Inukshuks.

Upper Prestwick Estates

Prestwick Estate Way. A decorative entry welcomes you to Upper Prestwick Estates Park.

Inverness Square

11 Inverness Sq. In the south half of the community, Inverness Square features a large gazebo which is a popular place for wedding and family photos.

Digital sign/Council park

McKenzie Towne Blvd. This 1.5 acre park located on the traffic circle is owned by MTC. An electronic sign keeps residents up to date on upcoming events, etc.

Clock Tower/Postal area

20 Inverness Sq. The McKenzie Towne Residents Association owns and maintains the clock tower which is located in the commercial building adjacent to Inverness Square. Within this space MTRA holds a lease with Canada Post for a box office for the residents of Inverness.

Pirate Ship Park

Prestwick Manor & Prestwick Link. Pirate Ship Park has decorative bollards and wrought iron fencing.

Trike Towne

Prestwick Cir. & Prestwick Gate. Traffic signs lead trikes through this busy little towne. It even has its own little traffic circle!
